TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The conditions below apply to all agreements to be concluded with Brussels Makers Market, which is part of Quezaco sprl.
1 - Definitions
- The Brussels Makers Market : market with mainly artisanal and / or local products.
- The Gare Maritime : The Gare Maritime at Tour & Taxi where the Maker Market takes place.
- Stand : Stand or physical place where the participant offers his products.
2 - Registration & Participation
Participation in the Brussels Makers Market is only possible by invitation of the organization. If the participant registers in more than one market, the organization will check by market whether participation is possible. The organization reserves the right to select the participants for each market itself. Participants may be refused by the organization if they show up on market day without authorization or invitation. Registration on our website does not automatically give you the right to participate.
If you are selected for the market, to confirm your registration you must pay the amount into the account below indicating the name of your brand as well as where the dates reserved. The payment must be on our account as soon as your participation is confirmed in order to validate it. If you have chosen a package of several dates, the total payment (of the three editions) must be made at least 15 days before the first date.
As soon as your payment has been made, you are registered. The invoice will follow after the edition for which payment has been made.

One edition:
- Without electricity: 90€ x 1,21 = 108,90€ TVAC
- With electricity: 100€ x 1,21 = 121€ TVAC including VAT depending on availability.
Package 3 editions: No cancellation possible after the first edition, only a postponement possible.
- 3 x €80 x 1.21= €290.40 including VAT. Electricity included as a priority and subject to availability.
3 - Hours
The market runs from 11am to 6pm on Sundays.
Participants can start climbing at 09:00 on Sunday.
The participant must report to the organiser before 11.00 am. If he fails to do so, his stand may be allocated to another participant. In the event of late arrival, another stand may be allocated.
The right to a stand will not be awarded until payment for the participation has been received. An invoice is always sent to the participant with the confirmation of participation and must be paid from that moment within two weeks or at the latest before the start of the market.
Cancellation must be made in writing (by e-mail), dated and reasoned. Cancellation is free up to 10 days before the start of the relevant Market. In case of cancellation after these 10 days, we will charge the full amount of the rental.
If it turns out that the ordered electricity is no longer needed, it is not possible to recover the amount already reimbursed. If it turns out that electricity is still required after registration and payment, it can still be booked after consultation with the organization.
The organization is not obligated to reimburse if the participant is not satisfied, unless it is reasonably justified.
The organization reserves the right to refuse participation at any time.
4 - Damage & problems
No damage can be caused to the material provided. The use of nails and stickers is not permitted. The use of rope, tape, etc. is allowed. The organization reserves the right to recover any damage caused by the participant.
No damage can be done at the Gare Maritime. If this happens, it is at your own risk and the costs are the responsibility of the participant.
If a participant causes problems or inconvenience to the proper performance of the Brussels Maker Market, the organization can (immediately) exclude him from the market (s) without reimbursement of the sums already paid.
The organization is in no way responsible for theft, loss or damage.
The organization is not responsible for any damage or injury caused to participants and visitors, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of the organization. This also applies to damage suffered by participants as a result of delays, mechanical breakdowns, weather conditions, natural influences, strikes, illness or any other force majeure situation.
5 - Product quality
The product with which the participant registers is equal to the article offered on the Brussels Maker Market. It is a question of maintaining a very precise range. If another product is offered, the organization can refuse participation. The participant is responsible for the quality and originality of his offer.
6 - Food and drinks
In the event that food is offered, the requirements of the decree relating to the law on food hygiene (elaboration in the restaurant hygiene code), the decree on the preparation and processing of food products, the regulation ( EC) 852/2004 and the law on beverages and catering must be observed, be taken. We refer in particular to the regulations of the Goods Inspection Service and to the Code of Hygiene for Ambulant Trade.
The participant can only offer drinks (closed bottles / packs) and prepackaged food for home use. The distribution of food and drinks prepared and consumed on site is not authorized.
7 - Location & surroundings
The organization will allocate the participant one stand per market..
The participant follows the instructions of the organization regarding the safety of the passage. The central concrete road must remain free at all times, this also applies to all (emergency) exits of companies established at the Gare Maritime.
It is forbidden to hang posters, canvases or other decorations behind the stand / against walls, windows and doors.
A site is 2 x 2 meters including - if desired a table of 2m x 1m.The size of the table may vary depending on availability at the supplier.
Tables should only be placed horizontally or vertically inside the participant's booth.
8 - Legal conditions of admission
The exhibitor must be in order with the legislation concerning sale on public roads. He must :
- Either be in possession of a trade register authorizing sale on public roads and have a VAT number,
- Either declare the income generated by the sale in his tax return, depending on his status.
For exhibitors not established in Belgium, a request must be sent to the Ministry of Finance - Central VAT office for foreign taxable persons (BCAE).

Non-profit organizations without a VAT number must be in possession of an authorization allowing exceptional participation in an event.

The organization reserves the right to refuse or exclude (without reimbursement of sums already paid) companies using commercial methods contrary to the conventional rules of the profession or having been the subject of reiterated and founded complaints from the public or third parties, without needing to justify its decision.
9 - General
The participant participates in the Brussels Maker Market at his own risk. The organization cannot be held responsible for loss of turnover due to unforeseen events or mandatory legal cancellations.
In the event of total cancellation of the market due to unforeseen circumstances, the participant will receive a refund of 50% of the registration fee.
The general conditions can be adapted at any time. Participants will be kept informed.
